About Us
In 1944, Richard L. Ahearn Sr. founded Seaboard Weatherproofing, quickly earning recognition as one of the top-rated weatherproofing companies in the Northeast. When he passed away in 1949, his son, Richard L. Ahearn Jr., stepped in to carry forward his father’s vision and legacy.
As client needs expanded, Richard Jr. partnered with Jed S. Holtzman in 1960 to form Ahearn Holtzman Inc. The company soon became a premier contractor in the New York Metropolitan area, proudly serving Fortune 500 companies and establishing a reputation for reliability and quality.
In 1984, the next generation of leadership took shape. Richard J. Ahearn assumed control of Ahearn Holtzman, while his brother, Michael Y. Ahearn, guided Seaboard Weatherproofing. Together, they leveraged the strengths of both family businesses, broadening service territories to include New England, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, and the Mid-Atlantic states.
